Clint is the founder and head coach at Hard Gainers Athletics. As a late-bloomer in high school, He overcame physical challenges to become a full-ride NCAA athlete. After college, he applied skill sets acquired through his athletic career to become a corporate executive in Product Development. HGA was started in April of 2012 to assist competitive athletes, recreational athletes and working professionals in maximizing their fitness potential. His priorities are 1) Vision, 2) Goal Setting, 3) Facing/Overcoming Adversity, and 4) Detail Execution which are all skill sets that while learned in athletics, can be applied to fitness, business, and life in general. Clint works with clients in Sports Performance, General Physical Preparedness, Custom Fitness, and Nutrition Support by creating or evolving their own skill sets in each of these areas, assisting them to be stronger and healthier not only physically but mentally too.

Zach is a biomechanics based sports performance trainer, with over 5 years of experience coaching athletes of all ages and levels in multiple sports. Graduating with a degree in Health & Human Performance, with a minor in Athletic Coaching from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Zach started with Hard Gainers Athletics in 2016. He studies and applies biomechanics to the training environment. He brings years of championship level energy to HGA, having been an wide receiver/ return specialist on 4 NCAA National Championship football teams, including a career record of 67-3.

Jeff started with Hard Gainers Athletics in November of 2016. He actively trains athletes of all ages in various sports and is a sports performance specialist at Hard Gainers Athletics. He holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois - Chicago as well as CSCS, PES, CES certifications. He implements his previous experience into his training process and has three goals for each of his clients: prevent injuries, enhance their athletic performance, and increasing mental toughness.

Tony Chan, a former police officer, was a 3 sport athlete (football, basketball, and track) in high school and a NCAA D-3 college track hurdler and sprinter. He has been doing CrossFit since 2012. After college, he needed a change to his normal workout routine and discovered CrossFit. After a year of doing CrossFit, he fell in love with the sport and obtained his L1 and L2, as well as a few other CrossFit specialty courses. Tony has been coaching since 2013, and continues to be passionate when it comes to teaching and sharing his knowledge of CrossFit. One thing Tony would like to tell any new members is to, "put any of your doubts away when you walk in the door. We've all been where you are. It is hard when you first start but if you stick with it, you will see yourself grow. No one is judging you."
Heidi Foley, CrossFit Coach

Living a healthy lifestyle is the number one priority for Heidi. She wants to be a good role model not only for her own children, but also for other adults that want to make improvements to their fitness but aren't sure where to start. Being able to motivate someone and see them succeed is very fulfilling and the reason behind why she pursued coaching. Heidi has been with Hard Gainers Athletics since 2012 and specializes in general physical preparedness, general fitness, personal training, and group classes. She played Volleyball and Softball at Millikin University, Rugby at Illinois State University, was a part of her high school gymnastics team, and is a 2001 Chicago Marathon Finisher.
Corey Cooper, Performance coach

Corey is a former division 1 athlete who played football at University of Nebraska. He has been with Hard Gainers Athletics since August of 2017. He earned All B1G TEN honors on the football field as well as academically. Coaching is his passion and what he dedicated my life too, he enjoys seeing improvement and giving people confidence to excel going forward In their respective sport or life in general. You can find Corey coaching the speed and agility classes as well Bulls-White Sox team training at our Lisle location.

Coach Jake Donovan started here at Hard Gainers Athletics in September of 2017. He graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Exercise Science in May of 2017. He specializes in working with athletes on enhancing sports performance training from a very safe and principled approach. He happened to have the opportunity to intern at two different performance facilities with one of them being the highly accredited EXOS in Dallas, TX. “I want to be able to use my knowledge/experience toward pushing anyone and everyone I can closer toward their dreams.”
Ellie Disselkoen, CrossFit Coach

Ellie is Certified Level 1 CrossFit coach and currently works as a part time coach at Hard Gainers Athletics. About six years ago, she started CrossFit as a supplement to her equestrian training and immediately saw the positive results of regular fitness in her daily activities. CrossFit's scalable intensities allowed her to flourish as an athlete from knowing nothing about fitness, to becoming a coach. CrossFit has changed her perspective on life and is extremely excited inspire people to pursue a healthy lifestyle and achieve their fitness goals.
